- Each issue of CQ Weekly contains an unbiased, objective and comprehensive roundup of virtually all Capitol Hill activity from the previous week.
- National Journal Group's Policy Central (OhioU Athens Campus Only)
- The resource includes reference guides to campaigns and access to the "Almanac of American Politics" and "Poll Track". Includes "Ad Spotlight" for access to current and recent political and issue television ads, both presidential and congressional.

- Election results back to 1940 for the State of Ohio, Elections publications, candidate and voter information, and campaign finance information.
- University of Michigan Documents Center Elections 2008
- One of the most comprehensive sites that provides information on voting and elections covering: candidates, campaigns, media, policy issues, and statistics.
- Vanderbilt University's Election 2008
- Another comprehensive site of organized links to election web sites including: candidates, parties, campaign finances, blogs and truthiness.

- Site includes interactive map and also data on previous elections.
- New York Times Election Guide 2008
- The site provides daily access to current campaign developments, election results, regularly updating delegate tallies, superdelegate surveys, campaign finance information and comparisons of where the candidates stand on issues, as well as interactive graphics on a wide variety of campaign-related topics.

- Election news coverage initiative by Voice of America, a not for profit broadcasting organization run by the US Government. The views expressed there are completely unbiased. The site discusses key election issues such as foreign policy, Iraq, Iran etc.
- Washington Post Elections
- The site provides daily access to current campaign developments, as well as interactive graphics on a wide variety of campaign-related topics.

- Gallup Poll
- Provides access to Gallup Poll data for the elections, and includes a feature tracking daily changes in opinion.
- Real Clear Politics
- "RealClearPolitics.com (RCP) has become one of America's premier independent political Web sites." Updated every day this site provides findings from polls, news and commentary both state and national, and includes selected averaging of poll findings.
- Quinnipiac University Poll
- "The independent Quinnipiac University Poll regularly surveys residents in Connecticut, Florida, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania and nationwide about political races, state and national elections, and issues of public concern...."
Finding Candidate and Campaign Contribution Information

- Published by Capitol Advantage, users can "identify their congressional representatives; research congressional voting records; learn about the issues of the day."
- Federal Election Commission
- This website summarizes financial information disclosed by each candidate who has registered with the Commission or appears on a state ballot in a race for the Presidential, House or Senate during 1999/2000 to 2007/2008 election cycle. Campaign finance maps available through the most recent reporting period.
- OpenSecrets.org
- Published by the Center for Responsive Politics "that tracks money in politics, and its effect on elections and public policy". Users "can compare the candidates by the size and source of their contributions, the industries and interest groups that supported them, where the money came from geographically, and much more."
- Project Vote Smart
- As a nonprofit organization focused upon voter education, this site provides information on congressional candidates' voting records, issues positions, and campaign finances, etc.
